
Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you need time to think, maybe you are getting lectured and you have had enough, you want to change the topic of the discussion, you want to cut off the conversation and leave the area, or by the tone of the argument you don’t want any part of it, and you want to do it quickly and politely?
I am a positive type of person and do not like getting in discussions where there is not a positive outcome. I believe if there is a problem, form a workable plan and go for it. If need be we may have a meaningful argument to reach that goal, but I don’t have the patients nor do I like to listen to others bitching because they don’t have the balls to do something. When I feel all of the meaningfulness is done, I will excuse myself one of two things.
* Start coughing and abruptly excuse myself to get something to drink
* Act as if my cell phone is vibrating, look at it as if it is an important call and politely excuse myself.
I will either return in a short time (after things have calmed down) or leave the area.
Warning: I use the same tactics to arm myself if I feel my safety may be in danger. These are magic techniques used to distract others. This is one reason I suggest learning magic for the useful tactics which can be used in all aspects of everyday life.
